The Sleepy Valley Inn is centrally located in the Town of Warwick, NY and is within minutes of some of both New York and New Jersey’s greatest attractions.   • The Village of Greenwood Lake, NY – The pristine waters of Greenwood Lake await you. There are public beaches, dining on the water front, and seasonal entertainment. Celebrities throughout the ages have made this their summer home of choice.
  • The Warwick Drive In – One of the last operating drive in movie theaters in the entire USA is just a few minutes down the road. Enjoy movies under the stars with audio directly fed into your automobile’s stereo to insure the finest film viewing experience that’s part nostalgia part cutting edge. There’s even a snack bar and free WiFi to browse the web while you wait for the show to start!
  • The Warwick Wine Trail – The Town of Warwick is home to several of the area’s finest wineries. Experience fresh hand crafted wines aged to perfection that offer the taste and quality of much more expensive national brands. There are a number of award winning vintages and varieties to try.
  • Golf Courses – The Town of Warwick is home to several wonderful golf courses and just down the road in Vernon, NJ there are several world class golf resorts to challenge even the best golfers. Enjoy the country hills and mountains while playing througt greens that are second to none.
  • Horseback Riding – There are many horse boarding farms throughout the area and wonderful wooded trails to trek on horseback. In fact, Orange County has a long history of breeding and racing thoroughbred horses. The Trotter Hall of Fame is just a few minutes away in the nearby Village of Goshen, NY.
  • Mount Peter Ski Area – There are several major ski resorts within minutes of our Inn, but arguably Mt. Peter is the hidden gem among them. Family run for decades, Mt. Peter offers trails for all challenge levels and family friendly environment with valley views that are second to none.
  • Pennings Orchards – The Warwick Valley is home to some of the top fruit orchards in the nation. Our apples are world class offering sweet full flavors and many varieties. Pennings is both a perennial local favorite and tourist destination of choice among these orchards.
  • The Wright Family Farm – Whether it’s getting a chance to pick your own fresh produce or experience a corn maze, the Wright Family Farm is your one stop destination. The Wright Farm offers you a great chance to experience local agriculture by visiting a working farm for a day and find out what it’s like to taste farm fresh produce.
  • Sugar Loaf Craft Village – Sugar Loaf, NY is an absolute gem of shopping experience. The village offers artisan stores that sell a wide variety of craft and art items at bargain prices.
  • Mountain Creek Ski Resort – The Mountain Creek Ski resort offers a wide variety of slopes ranging from beginner to expert. There are specialty runs crafted just for snowboarders and ski trails that challenge the seasoned professional. Highly rated and one of the stops of the X Games Snowboard series.
  • Hot Air Balloon Rides –  See Orange County from up high. This is a once in a lifetime experience and a must experience for any tourist travelling through the area. The view is simply breath taking.
  • The Trotter Hall of Fame – Orange County has throughout the years been home to some of the world’s best horse breeders. Our thoroughbred history is filled with champions. The Trotter Hall of Fame is where these champions are heralded for eternity. A must see for any equestrian fan.
  • The Military Academy at West Point – America’s future leaders have passed through West Point from our Revolutionary forefathers who defended the Hudson Valley to our latest Generals– the Point is home to the bravest warriors and has graduated some of the most brilliant military leaders’ in the world. It is also home to both Army Football and Hockey teams– two must see sport events.
  • Pin Street at Warwick – Family style bowling in a safe fun atmosphere. Featuring arcade area, elegantly lit alleys, and special event nights catering to all ages.
  • The Appalachian Trail – One of the Northeast’s greatest natural preserves passes through the area and is just minutes away. Hike some of the most challenging and beautiful trails in New York State. See views that go on for miles and take in wildlife you’ll find no where else. This is a bird watchers paradise!
  • The Historical Society of Warwick, NY – Founded in 1906, the local Historical Society operate several museums that encompass original historic structures dating back as far as the late 1700s and early 1800s. These include several houses, a colonial tavern, and a late 1800s Baptist Church. Touch a piece of history and experience life as our forefathers saw it just minutes from the Inn!
  • Tuxedo Ridge at Sterling Forest – Visit one of the area’s premier ski restorts. Located in beautiful Sterling Forest– experience fun for the whole family. The winter months are filled with skiing, tubing, and snowboarding. Summertime the Ridge becomes a paint ball park and is open for hiking. You can also check out the seasonal festivals such Moutaintop Jazz Festival, the Renaissance Faire, and Forest of Fear.
